PAL Mission >>

For our constituents (the youth of New Providence and surrounding towns), we aim to:

  • Encourage physical well-being, confidence and self-discipline by providing safe and well-maintained facilities in which to enjoy structured and unstructured recreational activities.

  • Enhance knowledge, skills and self-worth by offering the opportunity to receive mentoring from positive role models.

  • Promote citizenship, leadership, honor and respect for authority by engaging in cooperative efforts with other organizations.

For our Staff and Volunteers, we offer the opportunity to:

  • Obtain valuable professional and personal satisfaction by contributing directly to the growth, development and success of our Constituents.

  • Participate in the development of strategies for improving opportunities available to our Constituents.

  • Develop versatility, self-confidence and resourcefulness through practical experience in a culturally diverse, not for profit work setting.

  • Enhance management skills through involvement in an organization that promotes leadership and professionalism.

For our Benefactors, we commit to:

  • Enhance the value of our efforts by making the best use of funds and other resources made available to PAL.
  • Maintain the highest standards of organizational and financial integrity by employing the appropriate operational systems and management practices.
  • Deliver the programs and services that are most vital to our Constituents by conducting regular assessments of changing needs and conditions in the community served
