Dear Parents,
Despite a delayed start this year, online registration for
the 2009 NPPAL Hawks Football Season will begin on June
12th . Due to numerous problems with the registration
process last year, we have decided to use a different
company this year, thus causing the delay. To register,
please go to www.nppal.org , click on Football, click on
2009 Football Registration. The next screen you will see
is the Capturepoint website that is handling the our
football registration process for this year. Follow the
on-screen instructions to register.
Tackle Football will begin on August 17th at Oakwood Park
this year for all 4th thru 8th grade players. Practices
will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Monday through
Thursday until Labor Day. After Labor Day, practices will
be held Tuesday & Thursday nights from 6-8pm, and Saturday
mornings from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. all at Oakwood Park.
Games are held on Sundays, beginning on September 13th .
Picture Day will be held on Saturday, September 12th.
We are happy to report that Mike McAneny will return as
the A team (8th grade) head coach. Matt Barone will return
as the head coach for the B Team (7th Grade). Colin White
will serve as the Head Coach for the C Team (6th Grade).
Hugo Barth will serve as head coach for the D Team(5th
Grade). Steve Burton will serve as the head coach for the
E Team(4th Grade). The A, B, and C teams are competitive
football. D and E Teams are instructional.
Flag Football will begin on Monday, August 31st at Lincoln
Park, 6:00-7:30 PM. Practices will be held on Mondays and
Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. until after Labor Day,
then flag practices will be held at Oakwood Park. Games
are held on Saturday mornings. JV games (K-1st graders)
are held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Varsity games (2nd & 3rd
graders) will be played from 11:45 to 12:45, all at
Oakwood Park.
The first Flag Football games will be
played on September 19th. Flag Picture Day will be held on
September 12th along with the tackle program. Team picture
times will be announced via email prior to 9/12/09.
Registration fees for Tackle Football
will remain at $180. Registration fees for Flag Football
will remain at $120. If anyone has questions, please feel
