Cheer Announcement:
I first want to welcome any new members of the NPPAL
Cheerleading Organization!
We have tons of spirit and love cheering at games and
competitions!
I can’t believe it is already time to set up our 2009 NPPAL
Cheer season. It seems like yesterday that we were all sitting
in the stands cheering for our girls at the competitions and
games, driving and picking them up from practice and clapping
at our awards night. As I write this, I can’t help smilingJ a
cheer program that now holds the status of
“New Jersey Suburban Youth Football League 2008 Cheering
Program of the Year”! WOW am I a proud commish!!!
I want to congratulate Abby Iannella for becoming the new
commissioner for the K-1 and White squad. Her innovative ideas
will be welcomed with open arms. I look forward to the help
with the little ones!
We both are very excited about our upcoming PAL Cheer season.
This year we want to continue to provide a more competitive
level of cheerleading for those who are interested.
Some slight changes have occurred.
K-1 Squad: The Kindergarten/1st grade squad (will still be the
same.)
WHITE Squad: All 2nd and 3rd grade who do not make green
(Previously called Exhibition)
GREEN Squad: Comprised of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade
GOLD Squad: Comprised of 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade
TRYOUTS:
All 3rd, 4th, 5th 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, we will be
performing a short dance, cheer and tumbling at the try outs
for our competitive “Varsity” and “Junior Varsity”
cheerleading squads.
Abby and I are so excited that there is so much talent and
enthusiasm in our program. We know with the proper training
from our sister cheer program, Unity Central Renegades
(formally Perth Amboy Red Raiders), our Junior/HS coaches and
support from our parents, New Providence cheerleading will
become a strong force in the sport of cheerleading.
When you sign up for the fall season on May 21st we will have
more detail for you on the game schedules and competitions. We
will also provide details on Surgents Gymnastics.
RESULTS NOT EXCUSES:
